February 2025 - update

Dear BGWMC supporter,

The campaign has been quiet for the past month, but rest assured there is lots happening behind the scenes. We are at a crucial point in the campaign, and we are gearing up to take it to the next stage in the fight back to save BGWMC.

For those of you who signed the open letter at the end of last year, I am delighted to say that the Mayor’s Office has responded, and we are in open dialogue with them about options for the bid. This is all thanks to you and everyone who got involved.

We have a lot of work to do to build our case for a Council purchase, but we are hard at work on this already.

What now?

We are at the point now where we have some quite big things to pay for; a chartered valuation of the building, business planning, financial projections, planning application costs.

In the next two weeks we will be launching a fighting fund to help take this campaign to the next step, and we need your help. As someone who has signed the petition, come to the rally, or signed the letter to the mayor, we are relying on you to help us get the message out. The fight to save BGWMC is still on.
